RootEd is an environmental initiative founded by a Year 12 student at Dubai College, turning a childhood story into a growing commitment to practical action. Its inspiration began with *The Boy Who Planted a Million Trees*, written by the founder at age ten in 2020, illustrated by his mother and published the following year. Through persistent, house-by-house and site-by-site efforts, RootEd has brought tree planting to communities across three emirates. The initiative connects storytelling with environmental responsibility, showing how creativity, determination and personal action can help nurture a greener future.
