UNESCO Theme 2026
“Literacy for people, the planet and prosperity”
On Sunday, 4 October 2026, KCS Foundation (India) invites educators, partners, families and friends to Dubai for the sixth annual Celebration of Literacy, marking International Literacy Day under the UNESCO theme “Literacy for people, the planet and prosperity.”
The gathering recognises literacy as a foundation for opportunity, sustainability and shared progress — and honours the young people already turning that belief into action. The morning features a special felicitation by the YES Awards — Youth Empowerment & Service — celebrating high-school students whose sustained community service has created measurable, lasting impact.
Join us to connect with a community committed to learning, to witness the next generation of changemakers being recognised, and to reaffirm that literacy remains one of the most powerful tools we share for building a fairer, more prosperous world.
